Step-by-Step Fixes
- Use wall power adapter
Chromecast 4 USB-C needs 1.5A. TV USB ports often output 0.5A. Use wall plug.
- Set static IP for Chromecast
In router admin, reserve fixed IP for Chromecast MAC. Prevents reassignment drops.
- Force 5 GHz only
Many routers auto-switch between 2.4/5 GHz. Set Chromecast to 5 GHz only network if available.
